What Anse des Cayes is actually like
There is no village centre here, no row of shops, no evening crowd. The bay is small and the area around it is residential. When the swell comes in there is surf, and on those days the water is not calm. When it is flat, it is flat. The airport and the shops of St-Jean are close by road, which is convenient without putting you in the middle of the busy part of the island.
Six bedrooms, twelve sleeping places
Ciel d'Azur has six bedrooms and sleeps twelve. I will not invent a bed plan for you: a bedroom count and a sleeping count tell you nothing about how the rooms are arranged, and I would rather you ask than be surprised on arrival. The house has a private pool, and the pool is heated. There is air conditioning, a fitness room, wifi and high-speed internet, and a television. The kitchen has an oven and hob and a microwave, and there is a barbecue outside.
Practical things worth knowing
A cot and an ironing board are available, which matters if you are travelling with a baby. An airport transfer is available, so that is one thing less to sort out on landing day. You will still want a car. Anse des Cayes has no shops of its own, so groceries, restaurants and the other beaches all mean driving. The airport and St-Jean are close by road.
A Quiet Bay Between Neighbours
Anse des Cayes sits on the north coast, between St-Jean and Flamands. It is a small bay, and the area around it is residential. People live here year-round. There is no strip of shops, no line of beach bars. What happens here is mostly private life, out of sight.
The bay is small. When the swell comes in, surfers turn up and the water gets rough. On flat days it is calm and almost empty. I would not describe it as a swimming beach you can count on every morning of the year.
You are a few minutes from St-Jean for groceries, shops and errands, and a few minutes from the airport. You will use a car for everything. Walking somewhere useful is not realistic here.
Who it suits badly: anyone who wants to step out and find a restaurant, anyone who wants a guaranteed flat sea, anyone who wants activity around them in the evening. It is a quiet address, and quiet is the whole point.

Common questions
Is there a beach at Anse des Cayes?
Yes, it is a small bay. It is not a swimming-all-day beach every day: when the swell comes in there is surf and the water is not calm. On flat days it is quiet. If you want reliably easy water or somewhere with services, you will be driving to another beach.
How much does Ciel d'Azur cost?
Rates are on request. I will not publish a figure or a range, because the real price depends on the dates, the length of stay and the season, and a number posted online would be wrong more often than right. Send me your dates and I will come back with the actual rate rather than an estimate.
Can twelve people really stay here comfortably?
There are six bedrooms and twelve sleeping places. What I cannot tell you from those two numbers is how the beds are split between the rooms, and that is exactly what decides whether a group of twelve works or not. If your group has couples, children or people who need their own room, ask me for the configuration before you book.
Rates and availability
Rates depend on the season and the length of stay, so I quote them case by case rather than publishing a figure that would be wrong half the year. Tell me your dates and who is travelling, and I come back with the real number and what is still open.
