Grand-Cul-de-Sac is a lagoon. A reef closes it off, so the water inside stays shallow and flat. That suits families with small children, and it is the part of the island where the watersports happen. It is calmer than St-Jean or Gustavia, with far less passing traffic. You will still want a car: nothing on St Barth works well without one, and I would not plan a stay here otherwise.

This is a house for a large group. Eleven bedrooms and sleeping space for twenty-two means several families travelling together, or a reunion. It is not a couples' villa, and taking it for six people makes little sense. What the numbers do not tell you is how the rooms are laid out. Yes. It is a private pool and it is heated. If you want it running for your stay, say so when you enquire and I will confirm it with the house.
Do we still need to rent cars?
Yes. An airport shuttle comes with the villa, but St Barth is a driving island whatever the neighbourhood, and Grand-Cul-de-Sac is no exception. For a group of twenty-two, plan on more than one vehicle.
