NEO has six bedrooms and room for twelve guests; the bed configuration room by room is available on request. The kitchen is equipped and includes an oven and a stove, and there is a grill outside. Air conditioning, wifi and a television are in place. The house also has a pool, a hot tub and a fitness room with equipment. That is the full list of what is on site — we would rather state it plainly than dress it up, and anything not listed here is a question worth asking us before you book.

Pool, hot tub, grill, fitness room

A pool, a hot tub and an outdoor grill are the three things that decide how a group actually uses a house, and NEO has all three. The grill matters more than it sounds for twelve people: it is the difference between eating at the villa and booking a table every night. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and a stove for the same reason. There is also a fitness room with equipment, which on a longer stay is what decides whether a training routine survives the trip. In St-Jean, and who the house suits

NEO is in St-Jean. We are not putting distances or drive times on this page, because approximate figures are worse than none — ask us and you will get exact ones for the places that actually matter to you. An airport transfer can be arranged before you arrive. As for the house itself, six bedrooms, one pool and one fitness room suits two families travelling together, or a group of friends who each want their own room and one common space to end up in. Under twelve guests, it simply gives everyone more room.

The bay and the airstrip

St-Jean sits in the middle of the north coast. It is a wide bay, and the airstrip runs along one end of it. Planes come in low over the hill and touch down on a strip that ends at the beach. Some people find that fascinating. Others find it noisy. I understand both reactions, and I would rather say it now than have you discover it on the first morning.

The water in the bay is shallow and largely sheltered, so it stays flat on most days. This is also one of the busiest beaches on the island. You will not have it to yourself.

Everything else is close by. Shops and groceries are here, and the main road across the island passes through. Gustavia is about ten minutes by car. The airport is next door, which helps on arrival and departure days.

Behind the bay the land climbs fast. Near the water you can walk. Higher up you drive, on steep narrow lanes.

St-Jean suits people who want to be in the middle of things. If you came for empty sand and silence, look at Marigot or the south coast instead.
