What Gustavia is, and what it isn't
Gustavia is the island's capital and its harbour. The streets are flat, which is unusual here, so you can walk rather than drive: the shops, the quays, the town itself. That also means noise and movement. Boats come and go, the town works for a living, and this is the busiest corner of St Barth. It is not a beach neighbourhood, for sand you get in the car. Some guests want to be in town. Others find it too lively and are happier further out.
What the house has
Six bedrooms, twelve sleeping places. A private pool, heated. A fitness room. In the kitchen: oven and hob, a microwave. A barbecue outside. Air conditioning, wifi and a broadband line, television. For families, a cot and an ironing board. An airport shuttle as well. That is the whole equipment list as I have it, and I would rather leave a gap than fill it with something I made up.
Twelve people, six rooms
Twelve guests across six bedrooms averages two per room, but an average is not a floor plan. I don't publish the bed configuration here because I would be guessing, and a group that arrives to find the wrong beds has a poor first evening. Ask the agency and you get the real answer before you commit. The same goes for anything else specific: the layout, the plan, what the rooms actually look like.
What you trade to be in town
None of what makes Gustavia lively comes for free, and it is better to choose it on purpose than to put up with it later. What you spend is calm, that is the whole of the trade, and no amount of comfort inside the walls buys it back. The choice is the location itself, made once, before you book.
So I would rather name the right guest than talk anyone into the villa. Roxane is for the traveller who wants to step out of the door and into the day on foot, who treats a busy town as the point of the stay rather than the price of it. Someone who pictures quiet water a few steps from bed is not wrong, they are simply describing St-Jean or Flamands, and I would say so before you book rather than after.

No. It is in Gustavia, which is built around the port, not around a beach. You will use the car to reach sand. What Gustavia gives you instead is flat ground and a town you can cross on foot, which is rare on this island.
How are the twelve places split across the six bedrooms?
I don't know, so I won't invent it. The agency holds the exact bed configuration and will send it on request. It is worth asking before you book if your group mixes couples, children, or people who need separate beds.
Do we still need a rental car if we stay in Gustavia?
For the town itself, no, it is walkable and flat. For the beaches and the rest of the island, yes, there is no way round a car. An airport shuttle is listed for the house, but what exactly it covers is a question for the agency rather than something I can state here.
