Villa UNIK — Ten Bedrooms in St-Jean

10 bedrooms · sleeps 20 · Price on request

UNIK is a ten-bedroom villa in St-Jean with beds for twenty. Pool, hot tub and gym equipment on site, air conditioning and wifi throughout, and an airport shuttle among the services. Ten bedrooms in one house is rare here — a group this size usually ends up split between two properties and loses half the point of travelling together.

Ten bedrooms, twenty beds

Ten bedrooms, twenty beds. That is the whole basis of the house: a group that would otherwise be split across two rentals stays at one address. Air conditioning and wifi throughout, television, and a kitchen with oven and stove — at this size a real kitchen matters, because twenty people do not eat out every night. There is an outdoor grill for the evenings nobody wants to leave. Pool, hot tub and gym equipment are on site. Tell me who is travelling and I will walk you through how the bedrooms work out for your group.

St-Jean as a base

The villa is in St-Jean. I am not going to pad this page with distances and drive times, because they change with the traffic and with where you actually want to go, and an invented number is worse than no number at all. Ask me what is close to it and I will answer for your dates. What I can confirm is the airport shuttle: it is part of the villa's services, and it is the piece that usually causes friction when twenty people arrive on different flights on the same day.

Who it works for

This is a house taken whole, by one group. Two or three families travelling together, a multi-generational holiday, a milestone birthday, a wedding party that wants everyone at the same address. Twenty beds across ten rooms means couples and families get their own door rather than a shared floor. It is not a house for four people — a ten-bedroom villa does not make sense split that thin, and I will say so rather than take the booking. If your group is closer to twelve, ask me anyway and I will be straight about whether it is worth it.

What St-Jean is actually like

St-Jean sits on the north coast, a short drive over the hill from Gustavia. It is the most practical part of the island to stay in. Groceries, shops and services are within walking distance, so you can land and leave the car alone for a day.

The bay is sheltered by a reef line offshore, and the water is usually calm and shallow close to shore. The beach gets busy. This is not a quiet stretch of sand.

The airstrip sits at the western end of the bay, and planes come in low over the hill behind it before dropping onto the strip. They stop at dusk and do not fly at night, but during the day you hear them. Some people find it fascinating. Others find it tiring. I mention it plainly because it surprises guests who did not expect it.

The land is flat near the road and climbs on both sides. Driving here is easy compared with the steeper corners of the island.

If you want walkable and lively, St-Jean works. If you want silence, look at Marigot or Lurin.

What the villa has

Common questions

How many people can Villa UNIK sleep?

Twenty, across ten bedrooms.

Why is there no price on the page?

I don't publish rates. They move with the dates, the length of stay and the season, so I quote per request rather than post a figure that will be wrong for most enquiries. Ask and I'll come back with the real number.

Is airport transfer arranged?

Yes, an airport shuttle is among the villa's services. Send me the flight details and arrival times when you enquire and I'll confirm how it's organised for your group.

Rates and availability

Rates depend on the season and the length of stay, so I quote them case by case rather than publishing a figure that would be wrong half the year. Tell me your dates and who is travelling, and I come back with the real number and what is still open.
