Nine bedrooms, and what comes with them
Nine bedrooms under one roof, seventeen beds. That is the starting point, and it narrows the field considerably. The rest is straightforward. Air conditioning throughout. A full kitchen with oven and stove, and an outdoor grill for the evenings you eat at the house. TV and wifi. Outside, a pool and a hot tub. Inside, a fitness room with equipment, which matters more than it sounds over a stay of a week or more with a group this size. An airport shuttle is listed among the villa's services.
Lurin as an address
Lurin is one of the island's residential quarters — it is not the harbour, and it is not a commercial strip. That is the whole of what I will assert about the location without checking it against your plans, because I do not put distances or drive times in writing that I have not verified. The arrival itself is covered: an airport shuttle is part of the villa's services. Tell me what you intend to do on the island — beaches, dinners in town, or mostly staying at the house — and I will give you a straight answer on how this address serves it.
Who it actually works for
This is a house for a group that arrives together but does not want to live on top of each other: several families, a set of couples, or a group where people keep different hours. Nine separate bedrooms do more for that than any amount of shared floor space. The fitness room gives someone a reason to be up early without waking the house. With a full kitchen, oven and stove, and an outdoor grill, eating at the villa is as workable as going out — which, for seventeen people, is often the easier call. Send me your dates and your group size and I will come back to you on availability.
The Hillside Above Gouverneur
Lurin sits on the hillside above Gouverneur, on the southern side of the island. It is residential. Houses spread across the slope, most of them facing the water, and the road climbs in a series of turns to reach them.
Walking to a beach is not really an option here. Gouverneur is below, and the road down is steep — short in distance, but not something you do on foot in the sun, and certainly not carrying anything back up. Gustavia is about ten minutes by car, the airport and St-Jean maybe fifteen. Everything on the island is close, but in Lurin you drive to all of it.
The wind is constant up here. Some people like that. It keeps the evenings cool and the mosquitoes down. Others find it noisy at night, doors and shutters moving.
It is quiet. There are no shops, no bars, no passing traffic beyond neighbours. If you want to step out of the door and be somewhere, Lurin is the wrong choice. If you want height, distance, and a view that changes all day, it works.
