The four houses, and who they suit
The four I list in Lurin are 3H, Panoramic, Never Say Never and Vitti. They run from four bedrooms up to nine, so the smallest here already suits a family or two couples together, and the largest takes a group you would otherwise have to split across two rentals. All four are built into the hillside, and that shapes them: living space opens outward toward the view rather than inward toward a garden, and pools sit on terraces cut into the slope. Bedrooms are often spread across levels rather than laid out on one floor, which is why a group travelling together tends to be comfortable here and why a family with young children should ask me about the stairs before booking. What you accept by choosing this address
Lurin has no beach you can walk to. Gouverneur lies below you, but the road down is steep and you drive it; coming back up on foot is not realistic. There is no shop and no bakery within walking distance either, so every errand is a car trip and a full house needs more than one car. Gustavia and the airport are a short drive, but they are a drive. Evenings are quiet, which is what some guests come for and too quiet for others. If you want to step out of the house and onto sand, look at Flamands or Lorient instead and I will show you what I have there.

Which of the four should I take?
It comes down to headcount and how you want the bedrooms arranged. The four range from four bedrooms to nine, and because they are built on a slope the rooms are usually spread over several levels rather than sitting on one floor. That suits groups who want distance from each other and it works less well if you need everyone on the same level. Can I actually use Gouverneur from a villa in Lurin?
Yes, by car. The road down is steep and short. Be clear on what you find there: no services, no shade, and open ocean, so the water can move on a swell day. Bring what you need for the day. Walking down and back up is not something I would suggest.
I want views and no beach anyway — Lurin or Pointe Milou?
Neither has a beach, so the choice is orientation and drive times. Pointe Milou is a rocky point on the north coast, with houses on the rock face and sunsets over the water. Lurin sits on the south side above Gouverneur, closer to Gustavia. Both are entirely car-dependent. Tell me which beaches you expect to use and I will tell you which side saves you the driving.
