Colombier sits at the far north-west end of St Barth. The beach there is not reachable by car. You park, then walk down a trail for about twenty minutes, or you arrive by boat. That is the whole story of the area, and it decides whether it suits you. There are no shops, no beach bar, no service of any kind down there. Bring water. The neighbourhood itself is residential and quiet, with very little passing traffic. Everything else on the island is done by car.

The real question with this place is whether your group is happy being self-contained for the week. One that wants to settle in together, run its own days, and treat the heated pool as the middle of the trip will be content here. One counting on slipping out on foot whenever the mood takes it will not, and with a large group under one roof, a single restless person tends to set the tone for everyone.
So I say it plainly before anyone commits. If what you want is life on the doorstep and days that stay loose, that week is better spent elsewhere on the island, and I would rather point you there than have it disappoint you. What you get in return for organising a few cars and settling in is a house a large group has entirely to itself, which for the right group is the whole point.
